Straightening hair kits and salon highlights

I'm straightening my hair out Thursday night from home with the BOOTS home kit - I've used it before and it works fab but the salon can't give me any advice ....after straighening first I've to go down get my hair restyled on Friday because I'm going to be looking quite an eejit then I want highlights done but they have no advice on recommended time ....any of you girls know, hairdressers? or just an idea on how long you would wait? desperate to have it done by Christmas

I might have to give this ago as sounds better than using my straighteners every day. How much does it cost?

I think your supposed to wait about 2 weeks before adding any colour as the ammonia (i think) can effect how the colour turns out.

I just got my hair cut and highlighted on Friday..My doc said no worries about highlights as did the stylist...he did say thought hat due to hormones...you don't always get the right color you want.. I had no problems though..I love my new hair color. Good luck and happy highlighting.
