Was there anything you wish you had done before having children ??

Wasn't sure where the best place to put this thread - hope it is ok putting it in here !!!

Have been wondering if there was anything that you wish you had done before having children ??? I have so far

Bought a larger house
Bought a five door car
Spent silly amounts on handbags
Been on our last long haul holiday

All of the above we wouldn't be able to do financially with a child so have done it waaayyyy in advance

What tips of wisdom do you parents have for me ????!!!!!!

Gosh I'm TTC and have never been on a long haul holiday...perhaps I should try and sneak one in now.

...I wish.....saving for a wedding is expensive enough we cant afford a honeymoon!

Nope! Done the long haul holidays thing. Happily married. Nice house. Good job. Great friends.
But then I am 33, so I've had plenty of time to do the things I wanted to do.

Finished my education ~ planned on having 5 more years, it will probably be cut back to only 2 more years now.

Bought a house, or moved out at least into a decent apartment

Gotten married, weddings are ridiculously expensive

Travelled a few places

Enjoyed my life with no responsibilities a lot more!!
