Paypal help?

I got something off ebay and paid through my OH's account some time ago...he had nothing in his paypal account so it went through to his bank card thats linked tohis paypal as he had funds in there. The transaction said completed and the seller posted the item to me some time ago...however the money never left his account? Whats going on? I thought paypal took the money immedatly or it wouldnt say complete and nor would the seller have posted the item?

it wold say complete seller must have money or they would not off sent item

No this happened to me one day. It took 3 days for it to come out. Did he do it on a weekend or today? If its on the weekend, the money will have came out but it won't show up on his account until a few business days later. Or at least that's how it worked for me and how it works if I get my student loan deposited into my account on a weekend.

I paid for it on Thursday hun...and it still hasn't come out...what if there isnt any available funds whe it comes out what will happen? I didnt think paypal can do that or over draw you? xx

paypal will take it even if u aint got funds then your bank will charge u everyday for being ower drawn, unless ur in the set over draft limit.

It's odd that it would say "completed" because that means that the seller must have the funds in their account to use (eg to buy something and pay via paypal funds).. I've had money take a while to transfer from my account, but the seller didn't send the item until they had cleared.

it come out your bank but takes a while to show on statements

Mine takes a few days to come off my balance on my account and it shows up as direct debit payment on my statements!! xxx

It could've been sent as an E-cheque which sends the money straight over, but as the other's said, it might just take a while to show up on your statement.
