Inspired by Tashas thread!! (Sorry!!)

I love all things ghosty and creepy (although I wouldn't watch that video on my own!) but I love reading peoples stories.

Do you have any good scary stories about things that have happened to you/friends/family??

theres the ghost of an old woman in our house named Heather, she died in the bathtub as she slipped getting out.

she likes our house to be clean and tidy, we often find things are put away in cupboards, kitchen cupboard doors slam, if plates are left to dry on the draining board they will move onto the counter. the washing machine starts by itself. in the bathroom clothes that are left on the floor are often arranged into neat piles, or hung on the radiator.
footsteps and voices are really common too. people hate coming to our house.

sometimes it can be really annoying, like if im making lunch and i pop upstairs to get something, when i get back downstairs the cooker will be turned off etc.

Ok here are mine....

I wrote this in the other thread but Ill put it hear also.My mum, brother, my 6 week old daughter and I stayed in someones house down the beach for a few weeks. I went to bed and closed my eyes for what I felt like a second (really was an hour)and when I opened there was an Asian man standing over me. I screamed sooo loud but when my mum came running in my room there was no one there. My mum had to sleep in the room with me after that because I was so afraid.

Another occasion in 2006. I went to bed and suddenly for no reason I opened my eyes and saw my grandma floating above my husband. She was a bluish haze. As soon as started to say "What the Hell" She disapeared, kind of popped like a bubble. Anyway the next day we rang my granny and she was really sick. She never recovered and passed away about 2 weeks later. Before that she was fighting fit and healthy.

When I was 7 years old I was dancing in my bedroom to that song "lollipop". I remember it so clearly. I looked at the window and there was a shiny moon-like face with thick black eyebrows staring at me and slowly moving to the side of the window. I was frozen to the spot. Finally when I could move,I ran to my dad and he went and searched the garden and he couldnt see anyone.

Before my mum passed away last year we had the same dream on the same night. We dreampt we were at the beach and there was some kind of constuction work going on close by. Then a massive wave came and swept me away. Thats all I remember. But it was freaky how we both had the dream. Also I dreampt that I met an old friend who I hadnt seen for ages and she said that her mum died but it was ok. Then I saw my daughter walking near a head stone. When I woke up I actually told my mum and we discussed it. Well my mum died soon after that.

Ive also Astral traveled and had OOBEs but thats a whole other topic......

When I lived at my parents a few weird things happened to me. The house was built above an old coal mine. I used to sleep with the door open with my bed on the other side of my room. One night I was asleep when I woke up for no reason and looked towards the open door to see a little girl in a white pinafore dress, she had long dark hair and a mucky (possibly sooty?) face. The few nights after that were odd. I would wake up not being able to move my legs, like there was a weight on them. I would hide under the covers and just wish it would go away. I saw strange lights and heard whispers. Things would randomly fall off my shelves. One night I had gone to bed leaving a pile of cd's on the floor. The next morning my mum knocked on my door and told me to tidy my room and to pick the cd's up or they'd get scratched. I got up and couldn't find the cd's. When I checked my shelf they were put away in the cd holder. Odd

Wow - Anytime you get sick of her - Stick her on the Holywell bus and send her round mine - she'd have a field day!!!

I've a few which are a bit odd!!!

When I was little the Lady and Man (Mr & Mrs O'connor) that I lived next door to used to take me out a lot - they had loads of grandsons but no grandaughter so they treated me like their Grandaughter.

When Mr O'connor was younger he collected all sorts of dolls, dolls in national dress, victorian dolls, bears the likes. Every now and again he would give me one as he said his grandsons would appricate them. He always said if I was ever in trouble etc he'd always look after me - he really was the nicest man! One night I woke in the middle of the night to find him stood at the foot of my bed, it was a little odd as he's never been in my room but only being about 6 or 7 I didn't think like that! He stood there asking me about my day in school, and told me that he'd always be here and would look after me, then he told me to go back to sleep!!

The next morning I got up and went on my way to school not long after I'd been in my mum turned up and told me he'd died in the night. I couldn't quite understand as he'd come to see me!! So strange - but I think people always know when their about to go!



We lived in a old Georgian house in Chester which used to be where all the old mill workers lived. Every time I walked up the 1st set of stairs it would feel like someone was stood in the hall watching me. I never said anything, then one day as I got to the top of the stairs I saw a white mist sort of float past the spare room door. I ran up the other stairs to my room and told my OH, he said it was odd as he always felt the same when he came up the stairs - thing is we both said this 'thing' was stood in the same spot in the hall. It wasn't til months later we were at our MIL's who had also prev lived in the house and OH's brother & SIL had also lived there, somehow it got brought up and they all agreed they felt something was watching them from the exact same spot. Very odd. OH's uncle is a medium, one day when he came to our house, before he'd even got past the door step he asked if my nan had been to visit (my nan is dead) then he described, a short stumpy grey haired lady with big glasses andd said 'Judy??' A lady called Trudy had also lived in the house (before us) but OH's mum knew her as she worked with her daughter - she'd moved away to live with her daughter - OH's uncle had described Trudy!! He said there was 'Something' in our house but it wasn't harmful and if it was harmfull - we'd soon know!!


My nan was dying of a brain Tumor & was in a coma (at home) the doctor came and told us she wouldn't make it through the night (friday). We all stayed with her apart from my grandad who wouldn't even come in the room! Days passed and my nan stayed in her coma, my mum and aunts would be having conversations and one of them would say 'Coming for a quick fag' my nan hated smoking and would make grunting noises at them!! 7 full days had past and may nan was shocking the doctor as she'd not had food and water and they were amazed that she was still alive. My grandad still hadn't been in the room to see her. It was a thursday evening and my grandad came to the bedroom door and said 'Is she still here?' (my grandad wasn't all there and he was taking itvery badly) my aunt told him to sit next to her and we left him alone. 15 mins later my mum went up, Grandad was still in the chair and nan had passed!! It was just like she waited for him!!
It then came the time to tell the rest of the family and my aunt didn't want to call one of my uncles as he would be at work and wanted to wait til he got home. All of a sudden the phone next to nans bed started ringing (no other phones in the house just that one), it was my uncle. He said his phone started ringing with nan's number calling but when he answered it was ringing (as tho he was calling someone) then my aunt answered the phone (next to nan's bed) Was really strange, spooky!!!

its like living with my mother i just tell her to stop it and she does stop for a few days.

we've just gotten so used to it...
