Baby Swings

Anyone got one of these? I was thinking of getting one for dylan as he likes movement and I am getting tired of pacing up and down the lounge trying to stop him crying, thought I could try a swing?

Are they any good, do they pacify your little ones, and also how long do batteries tend to last?

Do you recomend any make in particular?

We've got one. No idea if it will work, but the twin forums I've been on say that they can't live without them. One swings while you concentrate on the other... feeding, bathing, etc.

We went for this one... http://www.mamasandpapas.co.uk/produ...4705028&type=I cos we liked the idea of the lights and also being able to plug in your MP3 player so you're not stuck with the same annoying tune over and over. They do seem to respond to Firestarter by the Prodigy though which isn't quite what I had in mind!

Thankfully, there is an M & P factory shop near us so we got it for £30 less than the price on there.

i had a graco travel swing for Coby, was handy just to throw in the car if i was going somewhere.

It had flashing lights and music on it.

Saved it for this baby too, they are worth the money

cheers ladies, I love that mamas & papas one helen, cause I could plug in my iPod instead of listening to anoying nursery rhymes, but unfortunatly I think I need to get one that is a bit higher from the ground, as Noah keeps climbing in his bouncy chair and tried to climb in his rocking moses basket and will end up breaking a swing if he starts trying to stuff himself in it!!!

I like that fisher price one KX, a bit on the pricy side but a really good design, we already have 2 fisher price chairs and they are good.
