I never wanted to marry my dad, but I did used to say I wanted to find a man like a my dad as when I was little I believe my dad was the coolest man on the planet, as when people would say "my daddy is a business man" "my daddy owns a shop" I would swell with pride and say "my daddy is a tattooist" and everyone would go "wow thats well cool!!"

So I was convinced that tattooists were the coolest people in the world, so therefor I wanted to marry a tattooist...like my daddy

OH isn't a tattooist...hes a plumber, nor does he have a tattoo lol

I never wanted to marry my daddy either. I don't think this is a particularly British thing, the Daddy and his Little Girl thing.

I found the programme very odd. The wilson family in particular with the 7 children when they did that ritualistic blessing was very peculiar. I think they are putting way too much pressure on their kids. What happens if they dont stick to their purity vows? They wont be able to live with their guilt and Im sure their parents will make them feel like a disappointment. Jessica was a prime example of how it can go horribly wrong. She barely has a relationship with her parents because she didnt stick to her vow, and her mum trying to control her life at 27 and not accepting her partner is ridiculous. I found it very sad.

Starting with kids as young as five is a bit much, the 11 year old in the beginning sounded brain washed and she kept turning to her dad for the answers. She sounded like she had rehearsed what she said. I certainly wasnt thinking about dating and sex or not doing it when I was that age at all.

I found it sickening to watch, seemed a bit like a paedophile ring.. very messed up. Im not saying they are paedophiles, I just found the relationships a bit too close and weird. Can't put my finger on it exactly, but it made me feel uneasy.

@sparkswillfly - I agree about the 11 year old girl. She kept looking at her dad and he was watching her as if he had told her what to say and was making sure she was saying it all correctly.

I can't believe how proud the parents seemed when they are just messing their kids up in the head. One guy was saying "they go out, they party..." as if it's such a strange thing to do... it's a normal part of growing up!! Isolating them from the world will only mess them up further.

Some little girls go say they want to marry their daddy... Im talking 5year old age, they dont have a concept of what marriage or sex is yet, they just know their daddy is awesome and makes them happy! Especially if they see their mom and dad happy.

Never heard of the show, though it sounds kinda weird!

Think i'll stick to Greys
