I'm Currently Feeling: | lol at Mr TashaAndBum!
Sarahkka - I have a baby carrier but it will be December when baby's born and I'll be walking the dogs after 2 weeks so I'm worried about keeping baby warm enough (and me!) plus I have to bend over to pick poo up all through the walk so the baby might get a bit dizzy! lol
I was thinking about writing to the local paper but DH came home from work as he works at a different local authority and said if you go right to the head of the dept (after hours of searching to try and find the right person) then whatever the complaint they will make something happen to save the council's face. So he drafted a letter to send and we'll see what comes of that. If nothing comes of it I'll pull out the big guns! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Well the email to the head of the whole department received a very swift response apologising for the crappy response I'd had from the council worker. The guy said it would get dealt with and we'd be kept in touch. Just today I was walking the dogs and this woman with her toddler in a small stroller couldn't get through. She tried pushing, squashing and lifting, woke up her boy who started bawling his eyes out. I couldn't help lift and in the end she had to get her boy out to get the pram over the barrier, leaving him standing there. At least I was there to help keep an eye on him. I told her I'd written to the council about it and suggest she should contact them too - power in numbers. Makes me sick... |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Go to the papers imo
My mams a local councillor for our area, but shes lib dem...
She gets calls everydqy off people upset but gateshead council actually refuse to do stuff about it because there all labour and wont do anything about it because the requests arent from a labour councillor or something...even though lib dems are the main political party in gateshead. Pathetic tbh.
My mam had to go to the local paper to get speedbumps put in...she'd been fighting for 3 years before that to get them, as soon as she went to papers they were up in afew months.
I hate the council, its ridiculous. Not as ridiculous as the water board though. But thats another story for another time. |
