I own 1 horse... I did professional training before I became pregnant... When I found out I was pregnant I went back to working in a hospital in nursing so I would have a good mat leave payout.

Thanks hun!!! We do eventing which is a combo of dressage/stadium/cross-country So much fun... She is a Thoroughbred and started out her life as a racehorse so we've definately had our ups and downs in the re-training. I absolutely love her though, I am so sad that I cant ride her right now She is happy getting carrots and being brushed though I guess.

Blob does eventing too and I am totally jealous! The courses in Scotland and the UK look so much nice then ours! Maybe she will post a pic of her horse.

Oh, I ADORE horses! I was on our pony when I was two, but then my father sold him a couple years later. I rode absolutely ANYWHERE that would let me, which was briliant as I got to ride a wide variety of horses with temperments and sizes of all sorts. I've ridden everything from the worst tempered, half-blind pony I've ever met to a competition dressage horse who was sweet as sugar. I did horse camps, where we'd spend a week just riding and living horses, by borrowing horses from people to take along, and then my best friend (who I did most of my riding with) gave me some semi-formal lessons for the first time in my life. She is the one who first started to teach me to jump. I had a pair of horses, an American Saddlebred gelding and a Paint/Appaloosa cross mare who I rode the most, and it tore me up to say good-bye when I moved to England.

Once here, I thought my time with horses was over, but a few months later one of Mom's friends told her she needed somebody to ride her green Welsh Section D as she couldn't do it herself for medical reasons. I jumped at the chance, and spent the next few months working with him. Then things went sour with the woman who owned him, and I was without horses for the next seven years. It was AWFUL!! Then I found a place locally to ride after Mom clued me in on it. I rode there for over a year, took a year off when I had some financial issues, rode again for another two years, but haven't been in the last year. I don't agree with their practices or the way they treat their horses... and they put the wrong people on the wrong horses ALL the time. So right now I'm without horses, and once again I don't feel 'complete'... BUT there is a silver lining... Kevin says after the wedding next fall, and after we've got our car and our baby is a year old and we have enough saved... I can FINALLY buy a horse that will be my very own. So another year and a half to two years, and I will finally be amongst the horse owners of the world! I'm already making plans. Jonah has been riding several times as well, and he is also looking forward to mommy getting a horse... so long as he doesn't have to miss his favorite TV show to visit it! My biggest equine loves are jumping and dressage in English, but I rode a LOT of Western in Maine, and still enjoy a leisurely hack in that discipline. I want to get back to learning dressage so will definitely be riding a lot of English as that is my weak point.

I love horses!! I have 2 miniature horses...Slow Gin Fizz(Ginny) she is black with a black mane and tail..and her colt New Moon Brandy (Brandy) is dapple grey with white mane and tail. I have a cart that I hook them up to and drive. Your feet would probably drag on the ground if you tried to ride them like a saddle horse.
