I'm Currently Feeling:

We're struggling week to week as it is, without even thinking of where money is coming from for Xmas. I have no idea what we are going to do.

The money we would normally have managed to save for Xmas by now is being spent every week on fuel bills and petrol. It's not fair!

So I've already had to tell Kayleigh that we're cutting down this year. Charlie won't get much either. And I've decided that we're only buying for parents, I'm going to tell my brother and DH's sister and their partners that we're only buying for the kids, and not for the adults this year. That's still 3 nieces and nephews though, and then DH's cousin has 3 we buy for. Even if I limit it to £15 this year (we normally spend £30 each on them), that's still almost £100 just on those kids!

Bloody dreading it if I'm honest.

Last year little'un just played with all the paper and ignore the mountain of presents people had brought her.

Found this on my puteh as an example for you lol (yeah it's crappy quality and no sound sorry).

I have an idea for this year. She's really into bags at the moment so i've got her this little handbag. It's only a cheap thing but it's quite pretty. I'm going to wrap up lots of little toys and trinkets in it for her. Inexpensive and hopefully keep her entertained for ages, she likes "little bits and bobs" like treasure baskets so I think she will like it :-)

My family has never been into spending a fortune on tons of stuff at Christmas but that said I do find it hard to stop sometimes, I love buying presents for my family especially my mum and sister. Only got a part-time job now so I shall have to be strict with myself.

*edit* by the way if anyone who's just had a baby is looking for a cheap way to give presents this year - Last year I made "babys life so far" photo albums for the grandparents (with little fun captions on under the pics!) and the other relatives all got a nice framed photo of the baby. Cheap and cheerfull, especially if you can do your own printing!
