hair straighteners?

Random question!

I'm looking for some new hair straighteners as mine are rubbish (these are the ones I have). They do nothing for my hair, and I think a thinner pair would work better too. I'm not sure if its just cause they don't get hot enough.. or if they are just rubbish! I'd of course love some GHD ones but they're ridiculously expensive. Does anyone know of any that work just as well as GHD for cheaper?

Thanks ladies xx

I use GHD's. But I had remington's before them and they were pretty good for about £40 cause you could adjust heat to what you wanted etc. They do loads more now.

I don't think we have them here in the UK.. never heard of them before. And I generally don't believe the sales pitches on the infomercials / shopping channels. I always think if they are that good then why aren't they in all the shops??

Thanks! My hair is somewhere in between, it depends how I dry it, but I can never be bothered/ don't have the time to fuss around with it a lot so i just want a pair of straighteners that does the job fast. I know GHDs work wonders, cause I steal my mother's, lol. I was hoping there'd be some cheaper that do the job just as well, because I really can't understand why GHD's are so expensive & what makes them different. But I'll probably just end up getting a pair of them anyway I'm looking on ebay at the mo, they're still really expensive on there too.. even broken pairs for spares/repairs are going for about £30!!
