i've got some remmington ones that were from tesco and half price (think they're about 45 quid normally). they're just as good as ghds imo. i had some T3 ones before, which i think are the ones that are by the same people as ghd, but they were a bit shit tbh.

lol has anyone seen those ones called vibe? i think they're advertised by adee phelan!

i don,t think you can beat ghd , ive been through so many different straightners & i don,t think you can beat ghd straightners & i would never buy any others , they are expensive but defintley worth the money & if mine broke then i wouldn,t think twice about paying it out again . violet xx

I use SCP's, they are tourmaline ones, fabulous, probably just as good as GHD's!

My GHD's have been going strong for 3 years - they cost me about £60 which given that they are great, and have continued to last, isn't bad at all!

When I was at college training to be a hairdresser, we had to buy a kit bag from the local hairdressing suppliers, and we got Wahl straightners in it, and they are brill but they don't have a variable temperature, they heat up to 230 degrees in about 3minutes, and they glide over your hair, I'm not sure if their sold in shops though, so unless you have access to a hairdressing suppliers, I'm not sure if you can get them.

The babliss ones are good as well apparently, although I had some reeeaaaly old ones that took about 20minutes to heat up, and even then they were poo, so I never bought another pair
