I'm Currently Feeling: | Ohh forgot to say, also my friend very sadly lost her baby to a fire when he was just one year old, and after the funeral, we were walking across the road the a pub and she felt drawn to pick up a piece of paper (she doesn't know why?!) and when she unfolded it it was just a scrappy receipt / bit of paper that said "You were the best mum, love you, see you soon xxx". We weren't at a graveyard or anything like that to explain it could have been a note to somebody else, either because we buried him in a private woods that belonged to a friend of hers I don't think we can prove they exist it's just a case of whether you believe in it or not - There's certainly more evidence for their existence than against, though! |

sorry dont mean to scare you out more than you are already but just wanted you to be aware | Yes it's only since Josh was born, this is why I think it's his grand-father or it might be my husband's great aunt. We went to see her when I went over at xmas, she was doing very poorly but was so thrilled to see me and to see her dear Andrew has finally found ''the one''. We showed her pictures of the scan and she was crying and holding it real tight. We called her to tell her we had gotten married and she was sooo happy and she died during the night.
Ever since Josh was born these things have been happening, I forgot to mention, the smoke alarm went off in my house the other day for no reason... It is electricity powered, so I shut the breaker off and it went on again a couple of times!!!
Josh looks at the wall sometimes and will smile and giggle at it. I never really pay attention to that because he laughs at the celling fan too lol. But it is strange.
NEWT: that is absolutely WEIRD!!!! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I love reading this stuff!!
In the 50s here they relocated people off of small islands and small rural towns to move to more populated areas. They used to dismantle their houses and bring over the wood on boats to rebuild in their new town.
Anyway, my aunt bought one of these houses as a summer home, and apparently there was a little girl that died in the old house before it was moved. Every time she goes down there she says she loses her keys, when she always hangs them up by the door when she goes in. She also hears laughing all the time which freaks her out. She was convinced there was a ghost and started researching the house and stuff...and now when her keys go missing she says "Okay I'm going to close my eyes and count to three and I want my keys back" and when she opens her eyes and looks around she'll find them on a table somewhere. I don't know how much of that is true, I've never experienced it, but its still creepy. |

Well anyways yeh i do believe too. In every picture that is took in our living room there is always a shiny spot at the top of it, the same place every picture and i was convinced there was a ghost because doors would open on there own, the stairs would creak an things would vanish an turn up in the most peculiar places! an a few weeks back i was up stairs sorting out baby clothes [while i was pregnant] an i heard a smash from down stairs an i ran down to see my mums vase had fell from on top of the fire place and smashed [it cost her £50, so she was soo not happy] i asked her what did she do an she said she was doing the dishes when it fell. so i asked if it just fell an she said it couldn't have, turns out that the picture that usually sits in front of it was still sitting there, untouched!

My nephew (2y/o) has started seeing things too now - makes me wonder if kids have a special kind of sight, or are just open to these things or something. He started talking about "the woman in the cupboard" saying that she was looking at him, and that she was in his bedroom at night and touched his head, had a nasty smile and he didn't like her... well after he told my sister about this, she freaked out and phoned my mum who told her to calm down and just phone a few people up and talk till her OH got home... she hung up and when she tried to phone out to someone else the phone was just making an odd fizzing noise. She bolted, but her son still talks about this lady and it's really freaky. I would have moved if I were here.
Another example that really can't be explained away is my philosophy teacher from college had a 3 year old who started talking about a man in his bedroom, who wanted to hurt the woman with her baby. The woman's baby had "pox". The children at his nursery had chicken pocks so you assumed he meant this and asked, "Do you mean chicken pox?" and he said, "no THE pox!" (seems an odd thing for a toddler to say??) so anyway, she asked more about him and he gave a name (I don't remember what - I think it was German) and said he was supposed to look after the ladies and her baby but he wanted to hurt them and she was very scared. So anyway, Sarah (my teacher at the time) had actually joked when she moved in (because the property was new-built), "At least we won't have any ghosts!" ... but she looked it up on the net, and apparently her house was built on the site of the old small pox hospital! And a doctor who used to work there, I forgoet his name but it was the name her little boy had given her, had been hung because it turned out he had been murdering the patients!!
So yeah, I believe. | Bloody hell. You're giving me the chills now!
My mom told me that when I was 2 yrs old I use to wake up at night and laugh non-stop and giggle. She would go to my room and I was sitting in my crib looking across the room. She'd ask me whats so funny and I was pointing the closet but there was nothing there! ... |

Freaked me out - he was just staring right past me and laughing - there was nothing there, though. It took all my will not to completely freak out and take him downstairs with me. I just told him to lay down as it was sleepy time, thankfully he did and I waited for him to go to sleep before going downstairs. [edit: My mother since told me has done this very same thing on several occasions.] *shiver* It's creepy to think what our children might seeing all the time that for whatever reason we are apparently blind to... |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I love hearing about stuff like this!! I definitely believe, always have.
We used to live in my great grandmothers house (I was probbly 13ish) and we think we had her ghost along with my great uncles (who was over 7ft tall ) ghost.
One day my dad was sitting on the stairs in our house when all of a sudden our dogs came over to him and started barking like mad and he said they looked like they were staring right through him and just wouldnt stop so we think there was someone standing behind him. Other people have rented the house from us and have seen many things there. One person saw an old lady (most likely great nan) doing dishes. Others have heard children playing and screaming outside. Someone else has seen my great uncle and this guy had no idea how tall he was but said he was extremely tall and had extremely long fingers (which he did) but its weird he knew that. My mom has tons of ghost stories also, as her and my grandparents have lived in many haunted houses. I have a friend who told me back several months ago that she would hear a baby cry during the day/night and sometimes it was in different parts of the house. She does have a baby but she said it was never "his" cry. Of course she decided to tell me this JUST BEFORE I went to her house to spend a few nights haha. She told me she would also see a dark shadow dart across the livingroom from the corner of her eye (where I originally was going to sleep!) I love stories and the thought of seeing ghosts but I really dont know how I would actually react if I was in the situation it would probbly really freak me out lol. xo |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Oooo, I love this sort of stuff!
Missjess, it really sounds like Josh's grandfather. Nothing at all to be scared off, just a playful spirit.
We lived in a flat for the first 7 months of Charlie's life, and it was a flat for old people, and several residents had died in it over the years. Charlie used to often laugh at nothing when he was in a room on his own. There was also once when he was in his cot and his wind-up mobile started on it's own!
I'm definitely a believer. Did anyone watch the Most Haunted experiment last weekend? They spent 50 hours in Total Darkness in London. It was amazing!!! |
