Stupid rental agency and stupid plumber

So this afternoon I go to run a bath and we have no hot water so I go to the boiler to find its flashing lights showing there's a problem and I have no pilot light. Now this has happened before and we've switched it off and then on again and its re-set itself no problems, this didn't work this time and we get a light telling us we have low pressure - why I have no clue. So I phone the rental agency telling them I have no hot water blah blah and telling them what we have done, so she says ok we will send a plumber out to look at it but first we have to call your landlord and get permission first! This drives me crazy cause he is paying them money to sort out the maintenance issues and he can't turn round and say oh we're not going to get someone to go round and have a look! So as I know my landlord works full time and doesn't get his messages till he finishes work I asked if they could make sure they speak to him and not leave a message cause otherwise it would be tomorrow before a call is left with the plumber. At this she starts to get funny with me at which point I remind her that I have no hot water!!! Fortunatly the plumber comes out this afternoon and typically fixes it in seconds - all you needed to do was turn a tap underneath cause the pressure had dropped and you needed to top it up - something the instructions didn't tell you. So I am asking why this would happen and what could cause it and all I get is oh it just happens! If you were having to top it up regularly then you would have a problem. OK fine but I wanted to know what could cause pressure to just drop when there's been nothing changed - in my eyes thats a problem surely and all I get was well it just happens you know what to do now!!! Why can't people explain things, things don't just change for no reason or switch themselves off for no reason. So after two seconds search on the internet I find that the problem could be a leak somewhere or due to a radiator being bled, now why couldn't he have told me that? People drive me nuts!!! Why can't people just explain things instead of fobbing me off and why can't instructions explain everything so I don't have to deal with annoying people who think I don't deserve any explaination I want to stomp my feet in annoyance especially as stupid DH says oh these things just happen - yeah but you're the one that refused to phone the rent agency so I now look like a stupid idiot. Now I fancy a big glass of wine and I can only have my low alchol wine cause I'm in the TWW! Sorry for my rant I feel better now for getting it out!

Private landlords are horrible!!!
I lived in a private rented house before and the raditor fell off the wall, not fully, the top 2 brackets broke so it sort have swung down, it was really dangerous because i had my little girl running round at the time, i had to prop it up with chairs.
I rang the landlord for an emergency repair man to come, they said oh yeah, he'll be there soon, after waiting a week, with no sign, i got my dad to come round and fix it, and that is just 1 of many problems i had with them, id be here all night if i went into everything.

It may not be the agents fault - the Landlord may have said that they have to call him on every maintenance issue before they instruct anyone.

At least you got it sorted - boilers can seem complicated sometimes !!!

yeah it is silly but so are some Landlords - at the end of the day they are unlikely to say no to calling someone out are they !!! though sometimes Landlords use their own contractors so maybe that was a reason.
