any hair dressers out there?

hello everyone

im looking for some ideas really,im wanting a new hairstyle but dont know what to have.

i want to know what i want before i go to the hair dressers.last time i had my hair cut i told them how i wanted it and it wasnt really what i wanted.

my hair is naturally blonde and straight and is currently long (below my shoulders)

i usually wear my hair up but that just coz it gets in the way and its just easier to sove it up.

im wanting it shorter but not too short so if i want it up i can.

i think i wnt abit of colour in it,but dont know. i dont want it wacky.

i dont want to be faffing with my hair for 30mins every morning, just something easy.

can any of you help me?

hi hun, i'm a beauty therapist but can give some ideas.

The best thing to do is if you see a style you like cut out a picture. Make sure you have a few and when you go to make an appointment take them with you and discuss your ideas with the stylist. They will tell you if 1) it's doable (sp?) and 2) if it would suit you. Then you can make a choice befor you go for your app.

Sounds silly, but try and choose styles that are on people with the same face shape as your own, your'll have a better idea of weather or not it will suit you.

As for colour, as your fair and your hair colour is natural i'd go with some low lights (some honeys and caramel) this will give your hair depth and texture (That's if you decide to colour it at all)

I hope that helps.

just browsing through your usual magazine or if you can think of a particular style you like on a celeb or even on yourself, perhaps you had it a certain way once before and loved it, you could take in a pic.

As for the hairdressers, you need to go and see a stylist. In a haidressers you have the ones who do everything from perms to colouring, you need to find somewhere that has specialists in each field eg a colourist (only colours) and a stylist (only cuts and styles hair) these are the people that are best at what they do.
