and she has asked me to do her wedding cake!

I love doing cakes and it has been a couple of years since I done the last lot, so I am really looking forward to it, plus it can go towards building up my portfolio which I am hoping to have one day

She is meant to be coming down this weekend at some point and we will discuss options and so on so I can start on it as soon as possible as she is getting marrried on the 1st September!

My sister is Getting married in August and my Mum is making her Wedding Dress and the bridesmaids dresses including Mine, I am finishing the detail on her Basque and i was due to make the cake too, but she decided on one of those tiered fairy cake stands, and as she dosent like fruit cake i'd have to have done sponge So that would have been too time consuming, as i would have to be making then within a couple of days of the wedding

OOoh Tam that sounds great. I have seen some pictures of some of the cakes you have made and I bet the cake you make for your sister will be FAB! Cant wait to see pictures. Oh and some day when you open your own Cake Store, I will come and work the cash register!

I am doing a fruit cake and sponge, although not sure how many tiers, 2 or 3, but will be starting it next weekend as it needs to mature and I water them like mad (alcohol) LOL! I will do the decorating a few days before the event. I have an idea of what I will be doing, so looking forward to starting it!

Just dont let me make any cakes. Im a dork.....

My mums a chef and a P/T seamstress, she taught me how to embroider, sew, machine, knit, crochet etc... and cook I have nack for arts and crafts, and love painting and making things i'm good at copying things too i decorated my sons old room in disney paintings Then he got too old so i painted over it
