I'm Currently Feeling: | I was at home in the bathroom, first thing the morning after my period was due. DH was waiting in the bedroom. I saw it was positive before I went over to him and couldn't hide my grin! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Me and OH had been using condoms for about 2 months because he had ripped his foreskin in a bit of a rough sex session (ouch!!) The only time we hadn't used protection was on valentines day. Anyway, low and behold, 6 weeks after, i was 2 weeks late for my period and my boobs hurt. I was totally convinced that i wasn't PG though. Me and OH went out and got test. He went to his mates house for "a few drinks" to leave me alone to get on with peeing on the stick. Anyway, he arrived home 3 hours later to me with a sort of smirk on my face. OH was slightly tipsy to say the least and completely forgot that i was testing. When i told him i got :BFP: his legs buckled underneath him and he was speechless. Wasn't ttc but still very happy news after a previous lossthe year before!! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I didn't tell my OH per say... He told me.
I was 3 days late and wanted to do a test, he'd been trying to make me wait a week to do one, saying it was me that had messed up my dates.
Anyway I persuaded him to quickly pick me up from work when i finished, and run me to ASDA to get a test, did the test and handed it to him while I pottered on tidying up the bedroom.
We weren't TTC and honestly didn't think it possible for me to get pregnant due to me already having went through fertility investigations, I was told I'd need to start IVF.
Anyhoo, OH read the test and saw it said pregnant, then he told me I was pregnant at which point I nearly passed out and started accusing the test of being wrong saying it was impossible.
Luckily I was due at the doctors 15mins after we did the test, so it all fell into place pretty nicely.
Naturally with OH just busy finishing his degree at uni at the time, he thought baby was demon spawn and I'd ruined his life etc, I had agreed to terminate because I felt pressured into it, then suddenly decided, nope, not terminating. Given the circumstances who's to say it wasn't sheer fluke and the only time it'd happen naturally.
Anyway he came round in the end. lol. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Well my DH has been read to TTC for a while but I was not until July of last year. Since he was out of town during my O dates, I had been following my period for a while as I had not been on birth control for 2 1/2 years, we were able to give it a proper try at the end of August-first of September. I knew I would be ovlulating on or about the 1st and that night as I was waiting in the bedroom, I called out to my DH 'come on and get your baby maker in here and knock me up', oh how true those words turned out to be. Anyway, I bought the digi test and tried on the 11th, as it was my DH's birthday, and it came up negative. I knew if felt diffferently, and was disappointed, but read the instructions that the test was only 50% accurate 5 days ahead of AF. So I planned to wait until the day after my period was due, but on the morning before I just could not wait, I wanted to know if I was going to start the next day. So I got up at 6:30 that morning to feed the cats, took the test, and feed them. I went back into the bathroom and grabbed the test and brougt it into the kitchen as I had the light on there. So I stood there, and flipped the test over and OMG, it said 'pregnant'. I thought 'it does not say that, and turned the lights up further, as they were on dim, and it still said 'pregnant'. I just stood there, and it echoed in my mind 'I AM Pregnant'. I was in shock. After a moment, I started crying and ran down the hall to our bedroom, woke my DH up and all he could hear was me crying telling him to turn on the light by his bedside. He kept asking me what was wrong, and I kept say turn on the light. Finally he did, and I thrust the test into his hand and he asked 'does that say what I think it does?' I said 'yes, we are pregnant'. We laid there for an hour just giggling and talking about it. It was really fantastic, and a moment I had waited all my life for! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Mine was at a stupid hour in the morning while i was getting ready for work, i convinced myself i wouldnt test early because of my previous 2 messed up cycles, but swore to myself i'd test after i was at least 3 days late ... low and behold the one month i didnt think i was pregnant i was!!
Ran into the bedroom and threw the test at my OH it bonked him on the head and woke him up, took him a few minutes to realise what it was and he was grinning from ear to ear!! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | love PP's version of hitting OH on the bonce
i didnt think i was as i hadnt missed a period, but for the previous 2 nights when OH had come to bed the motion of him getting in and rocking the mattress made me feel sooo nautious (sp?) so i tested when he was in work and it came up + straight away, i text my friend first and said are you busy...what are you doing in feb next year (ended up her ringing me and screaming down phone)
didnt tell OH for a week, he was on about expanding the business and i kept thinking "but we're going to have a baby can you afford too"
anyway we ended up in Lincoln Mcdonalds drive thro and half way through a BigMac i burst out crying (hormones lol) and told him... he said "i guessed you were you waffy mare as youve been even more waffy than usual!"..
he got on the phone and rang his friends and his mum straight away |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Aaaww I love these stories!
I'm a classy bird too! I did mine in the toilets at work. I just bought a cheap one and when it said positive I started shaking and ran down stairs and handed it to my friend that works with me, she started jumping up and down and I was just standing there in shock.
I was told by my doctor that the chances of me ever conceiving naturally were non existent so you can imagine the shock!
I went to the chemist and bought clearblue digital pregnancy tests as I didn't know whether to believe the cheap one! Did both of them at home and both positive!
OH and I had plans for travel etc over the next few years so we had both come to terms with never having a baby.
So when i told him it took a good while for it to sink in! I still don't think he believes it, and I'm due soon! xxxx |
