Painting

Doing up the nursery, I have sliding closet doors that are the full length of the longest wall in my room. I'm doing them in pinstripes of two shades of yellow. Any idea how wide apart I should make them? Should I do them all the same width or make one colour wider and one a lot smaller?

Sounds gorgeous!! I think it would look great with wide stripes the same width. Have you seen missjess's Josh's room? I'll see if I can find the thread! x

I kinda like the sound of doing different sizes too... but the pics of the nursery look so nice ha ha!! Hmmm... good luck keeping them the same, maybe you should draw them on first

Should be easy enough to get them right if you use masking tape and measure the distance before you stick it up. Either that or barcode style! Then you don't need to worry about measuring! x

I like different sizes and varying shades of colors...like the above pic.
make sure you use the best tape you can buy......and a good roller.
and don't put tape on fresh paint or you'll end up pulling it off!
oh ya....you can also buy different thickness of "painters Tape"

I used to work at Home Depot in the paint dept and kind of learnt a few tricks!
I could give demo's of paint technics BUT would be a disaster when i tried it at home..hahaha
what other colours are you using?
yellow is a good neutral that looks good with pink, blue, green, purple, orange..
