Pedigree dogs uncovered - did anyone watch?

Just watched Pedigree dogs uncovered on iPlayer as i missed it the other day. Did any one else watch it and what did you think.
I have never been a lover of the Kennel Club but have always enjoyed watching crufts on telly.
The attitude of some of the breeders infuriated me though, even though i have delt with them through working as a veterinary nurse.
And i was actually in tears at the beginning of the program.

I really think that the way dogs are bred and showed needs a big boot up the bum, why do they think that inbreeding of dogs is acceptable!!
Its a bit on both sides.

Heres the link to iplayer if people would like to watch it.

The beginning shows a fitting boxer and a cavalier in extreme pain which some people will find very upsetting

i watched it and thought it was absolutely disgusting!!! especially the rhodesian ridgebacks, put down because the dont have a ridge, despite the fact that they are perfectly healthy! that was appalling!!

I saw this and was so angered at the way those so called know it alls refused to accept how the dogs are meant to be, personally some of the photos of how the dogs used to look are much grander looking

Did anyone hear the women call the beagles leg wrinkles, furnishings? WTF its a dog not a flamin chair you stupid cow

Seeing those dogs in pain brought tears to my eyes, Im personally not a dog lover but no animal should be allowed to suffer like this

i thought the one at the end who had a cavalier that had that brain/skull thing (sorry cant remember what its called) was shocking!! knowing that it could pass on to any other litters he sired and letting him sire 34 litters of pups!! IDIOTS!!

Fair play to Carol Fowler who is trying to highlight syringomelia, but she is getting shot down and abused by the 'old school breeders' who think she is an interfering busy body. And the breeders who have put their pups to sleep coz they didnt have a ridge!, and kept breeding from a know ill dog!!
Makes me so mad, i have seen all these conditions in veterinary practice and it is horrible.
Althought the owners really were not helping the fitting dog by pinning it down.
They should have moved everything out of the way and turned down all the lighting untill the fit was over. To much stimulation can make the fit worse and the owner risked getting bitten. Must be so distressing for them though.

I watched it and was physically sick and disgusted by these fucking idiot breeders!!!

Now, I have a pedigree Staffordshire Bull Terrier, but there isnt the same ancester on her form twice, whereas my friend has a Westie and there is about 5 dogs on the whole pedigree compared to 25 on my dog!

I dont agree with inbreeding dogs like the way the kennel club say is ok to do so.

I personally will not be watching crufts in the future either.

This really annoyed me aswell...im a huge animal lover!

I couldnt believe that the breeder thought it was ok to breed from a cavalier king charles that had the disease even though loads of puppies are also likely to inherit the disease, and also that they though it was ok to cull Rhodesian Ridgebacks born without the Ridge! i was soooo annoyed i mean WTF???!

whats wrong with taking these puppies without a ridge to the dogs home to be rehomed by a family who would love it??

I now very much dislike the Kennel Club and possibly would never buy a pedigree dog as a pet, due to this.
