Decorating?

So as some of you know I'm living with my parents...I'm getting the master bedroom and we're turning it into a split bedroom/nursery. I have this nursery set bought:

and I also have a bedding set for myself bought in the same colour blue, its reversable so its a yellow-ish colour on the other side. Thing is, although I realize we're going to be sharing the room and the nursery set is kid like, I was wondering if anyone had some ideas to make it sort of just a beach/sea themed thing that I could turn the rest of the room into! Something a little more grown up. I have a huge closet that goes the entire length of the bedroom on one wall. I was thinking I could take the doors down and put up sheer, white fabric. Any other ideas??

While I like the idea of the white curtains for closet doors... you have to keep in mind that you want as much floor space for your baby to have once she starts crawling and you usually dont want things that hang down in the babies reach.

You probably also want to keep doors there so you can store things that you dont want her getting into. Because they will get into everything lol. We are going to be babyproofing our living room soon. And then she will have her nursery upstairs.

Are you going to be spending alot of time in your room? Doing homework and computer stuff etc?

What shape is your room? Any nooks or anything? I think you told me there was an ensuite bath too? How much are you going to be buying for your room?

Personally, I think you could likely have quite a nice grown up looking room as long as you pick good colors and co-ordinates.

I like the color of the walls in the picture you have there, I think that would be a nice neutral for the walls, maybe some nice wood blinds... Some shelves up on the walls to put more breakable decorations and stuff? And you can always find beach/ocean type decorations...

And you of course can carry the theme into your bathroom... (im pretty sure I read you do have an ensuite)... You could do nice whitewash wainscotting on the bottom half of the walls and then a nice blue upper walls?
