Nightmares

Not really sure where to post this so here will do!

I know alot of women get paranoid about something happening to there baby. I know i'm constantly checking Mayas breathing at night.

It's just i'm having really bad nightmares & I can't take them much longer to be honest. A couple of nights ago I dreamt Maya was a twin & I had lost her sister. I actually woke up on the floor searching for her. That may sound funny but it really wasn't. My heart was racing so fast & I was sweating. I was also on the floor 'searching' for a good few minutes wide awake before I realised Maya was my only baby

Then last night I dreamt Maya drowned in the bath

These dreams are just awful. Just had to get this off my chest

I can't relate too much being childless but i didn't want to read and run. I hope they stop soon hunny and i can imagine that it must be terrifying to think something could happen to your baby and maybe your subconscious is so preoccupied with this that it's carrying over to your dreams. Would the doctor be able to help at all? I'm not really sure

It's a strange world, our subconcious hon. I'm sorry that these dreams are plaguing you.

It's a difficult thing to say why they happen, but you've had a massive change and your thinking has gone to x2.

I don't have children (yet) so can't say I know how you feel, but have had bad dreams making we wake up in panic.

I really hope they calm down very soon and you can get on with enjoying Maya.

We're all here if you need to talk.

Iv had dreams like this lately and i know how you feel. They seem so real and i wake up almost in tears and my heart racing then i feel weird for the rest of the day like shaken up.. But i have noticed i usually only have them when im really tired and go into a really deep sleep. Are you getting as much sleep as you can? Hopefully it wont last long because its really not nice but i know you cant stop worrying about these things. If they carry on maybe you speak to your doctor or somebody?

I know how u feel...i went through nightmares and sleep walking etc when i was young. Then i grew out of it, but started to have nightmares again when i had had my children...mine gradually went away...

I use a type of positive thinking excersise when i go to bed and it helps...

Lay in bed and think about things that are beautiful or that u like...even sing a song you like...and then when your ready to fall asleep i find i dream about these things or memories that made me happy.
Its worth a go even if i do sound mental lol

Maya must get so pissed off with me, cnstantly ramming a finger under her nose to feel her breathing. I know I wouldn't like it lol

Last couple of nights I haven't been so obsessive with the checking but the nightmares are still there

It's just motherly instincts hun, I always have horrible nightmares about lots of things and it makes you feel kinda guilty for even having the nightmare!!
