Well after my horror labour i've been trying to focus on some of the funnier aspects of it & want everyone to share anything funny that happened during there labour ( can anyone tell i'm bored again )

1. Well I was very dosed up on gas & air so kept coming out with random rubbish. Has anyone seen the Subway advert with the talking pepper that says - oh mumma, too hot? Too spicy? Hot hot!! Well during my contractions I was repeatedley saying this & laughing like a nutter

2. When my waters broke my mum totally panicked, burst into tears & ran to get the MW but got stuck in the cubical curtain & fell over

3. Can't believe i'm going to admit this but when the doctor was stitching me up I farted in his face twice. He was literally centimeters away from my bits n bobs & I just let them roll out

So come on ladies share your fellow stupidness with me!!

Ok, I do have one that is slightly funny.

With my first, I was put on the drip the second day. I started to have contractions in the evening and was told to walk around. I had an IV in my arm and my OH was pushing the IV machine. He didn't think that I was getting any IV into my arm so he played around and turned it up. All of a sudden, the machine started beeping and my OH looked horrified.

What's with men and trying to "fix" things!?

Embarrassing moment was when my catheter bag burst all over the floor. Nice!

My labour was pretty boring... I was totally involved in it and oblivious to everything around me; My way of dealing with the contractions was to just hum and rock back and forth on my hands...

The only funny things I guess were that MrBum at one point went off to get some food for everyone, and I didn't notice... I suddenly had a break in contractions that lasted more than 10 seconds (my first break of the whole labour!) and noticed he wasn't there, and asked, "Where's Dominic?" and the midwife was like, "he went to get some food - he's been gone for an hour!" And SOMEHOW an anaesthetist managed to put a cannula in my arm without me noticing!! lol I was just so absorbed in my labour, I forgot the rest of the world existed!! haha

My mum was funnier than me with her labour for Alexander (my baby brother, 2 years old now) because she was on gas and air, and she just kept singing, "Don't wanna be an American spaceman!"
