Wow, so many people met on the internet!

I always thought you couldn't meet a good guy at a club but I was wrong! DH and I met at a rock club in Newcastle, the first time was on my 22nd birthday but he didn't think I was eying him up so didn't come over (it was my policy not to go after guys! lol), said he watched me leave at the end mournfully! We saw each other on occasion at the same club (there was only one in Newcastle) then 6 months later we actually got together. He approached me and asked for a light which I was very unimpressed by then later bought me a drink and we chatted all night.

I never thought it'd work, after a bad break up a few months before I made list of what I wouldn't accept in a guy and hew as all of them! But shows how wrong you can be as we've been together 7 years now and couldn't be happier.

Well! He was my manager!!!! and due to get married to someone else! opps!
i dont normally do things like that!
It would never have happened but i was on a girls holiday in spain and got sooooooo drunk i phoned him to say i would seduce him in the store room when i got back!..... how embarrasing! Ive never lived that down!!!! (and it never happened!)
anyway 7 and half years later we are still very happy and due to have our little man in the next few weeks!

Stan and I actually "met" online in a random chat room and started talking. From there we spoke pretty much daily on ICQ for 6 years. Eventually started making phone calls, and met in person after we'd been talking 6 and a half years or so. I met mine at a new years eve party....it was my friends' mum's party and i dished him up some food and couldnt look at him as i thought he was sooo nice and was shy...!! He came and talked to me and we exchanged numbers....met up for lunch two days after and then saw each other the week after and been together since....

Matt put on advert on myspace for a drummer for his band and I replied. Met him and a few mates in a pub for the first time, had a few rehersals, then he invited me round to his house to watch a film. We drunk a bottle of jack and had a bit of a drunken fumble. 2 1/2 years later here we are.

I met Mark on a dating website. We 'met' for the first time when he came to my house to watch Eurovision. He never went home and sold his house!! He's still here, can't get rid of him!!!

I met Richard at work. I started a new job in May 2000, and when I first saw Rich I thought how lovely he looked. I found out he was about to go off for 3 weeks on holiday, as his girlfriend was working away and he was going to visit her in the US. He came back engaged!
I put him to the back of my mind, and hooked up with someone else. In the meantime, Rich split up with his fiancee, and about 6 months later, I split up with my other half. I decided to have a party and invited him, but he never made it!
In the end, I had to get my friend at work to email him and try and get the ball rolling for us! How childish is that! There were so many inuendos flying around, lots of flirting but nothing happening - I didn't even know if he liked me or not! Anyway, he then went off on a holiday with his mate for a week, leaving me hanging on. I was lovesick, I couldn't eat or anything. When he got back, we went on our first date - it turns out that when he was on holiday he had decided he was going to turn me down because he didn't want a relationship with someone at work, but when he saw me on his first day back to work, he couldn't bring himself to say no!

So, that was that, over 8 years ago! And now we are married and expecting our first baby! And we are so very much in love!!!

We both joined the same Army Reserve unit. I was having trouble fitting into the clique that existed. It was a small town and everybody there knew each other from growing up. I was the new girl and from Detroit (a capital sin in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan). Joe joined after I had been there for a few months and I was like "Oooh another new person" and he didn't have a choice. He was going to like me and talk to me perod. He didn't know anybody either so mutual need for a friend took over. He was basically a man-whore. I was dating somebody seriously. We ended up deploying to Iraq. He helped me through a broken engagement. I helped him through his hard times. We finally ended up sleeping together a full 3 years after we met and were married a year after that.

I've known DH since I was 14 (he was 1 He's my sister's husbands best friend. about 4 years later I went out to the local pub for new year & he asked my BIL for my number he text me the next day asking if he could take me out we went for a drink & to the cinema & at the end of the night he told me he wanted to see me again & that was 6 and a half years ago we're now married & TTC our first next month x
