I'm Currently Feeling: | We might be smaller than other planets in our solar system but the rest are inhabitable. We are lucky that we are right distance from the sun and the fact that we have a magnetic core means that the radiation from the sun gets bounced off the magnetosphere instead of radiating us. The others don't have that. So our planet is pretty amazing. |

If it helps any most of the big 'uns like Jupiter are just made of gas. It's only the first few planets and Pluto (now not allowed to be called a planet) that are rocky. Because we're rocky and heavy the gravity of spinning means we get pulled in more and so are smaller. The gas is lighter so not as pulled, if that makes sense. |
