Carpet cleaning quote

Hey lovies,

Just had a carpet cleaning quote for £200 - just wondering whether this was reasonable all not?

We live in a 4 bed town house, (ground floor is wooden flooring btw), this price includes deep cleaning and scotch guard for a rug in the lounge - £45 (included in the £200 price).

I've never had carpets cleaned before so no idea if this is reasonable or not?

Haven't really got time to get lots of peeps round for multiple quotes!

You can buy a cleaner for that I think! My Mum bought a carpet cleaner and loves it, we're all going to use it.

it would also be loads cheaper to hire one from your local plant hire shop, my DH works for a fairly large well known one and we get ours from there DIY and its fab!!!!!

We do have a vaxs machine - but I want the carpets deep deep cleaned - we have 2 x cats and 2 x house rabbits so the rug in particular needs to be done properley.

Plus at 9 months preggo - there ain't no way I'm lugging a cleaner around a 3 storey, 4 bed house! Or getting on my hands and knees (I'd never get up!) or emptying large contents of water - for hours on end! It would simply never get done!

get the man to do it....

If its ever an option for you though, the industrial ones are as good as what the pros use, pretty much alike tbh, and far stronger and better than the shop bought ones, they honestly give a really deep clean. But i can see where you're coming from!

They'll never learn if you don't let them try! Mine has learnt how to do all sorts of things while I've been sick...
