Hey ladies

I'm really concerned about my friend. He's been through an awful lot and has had a real rough time.. he's never happy anymore and seems very depressed. Problem is, he won't do anything about it because he hates doctors. I really want to help him but I don't know how. I hate seeing him hurt so much.. but what can I do if he won't help himself by getting himself to a doctor? He also refuses therapy because can't open up to anyone but me and our other friend. It's so horrible seeing him this way, he's so sad and lonely

I was just wondering if any of you know what to do at all?

Hi Hun ...
Have you thought about positive thinking cds . My step dad use to have low days , But refused point blank to see a DR .
My mum ordered him lots of positive thinking and Confidence Cds and Books . He loved them and they helped allot . Theres lot sof natural scents and things aswell around the home wich can help (Sounds silly but some say work) , Lavender , Camomile , Rose scents all are proven to help with relaxation ..
Maybe this will help his mood lift a little , Hope i have given you some handy recomendations hun . I wish him luck . xxx

Oooh thanks hun I'll suggest them to him and see what he thinks.

It's awful having to see a friend like this so I really want to do something to make him feel better. It's a shame I don't live near him because I'd love to take him out somewhere to get his mind off things.

Do you know where he can get these from? I've looked on the waterstones website but they all seem to be more sort of stress or eating disorder related etc but nothing for depression or feeling sad.

He's not listening.. He's talking about suicide. He's written a 7page suicide note explaining exacly how he feels. He said he just had to speak to me one last time to tell me he loves me just incase he decides to do it. Nothing I say/try is working. I suggested the CD's and he won't take the advice. I've tried everything I possibly can. I've got so much on my own plate to deal with and I'm broken myself atm (as a lot of you know) but I desperately want to help him, I don't want to lose him.
