Toothache? Help?

OH has been complaining of toothache all afternoon and ive got him booked in at the dentist on thursday ..

Ive plugged him with all kinds of painkillers throughout the day trying to ease it but nothing seems to be helping and now he's lying on the bed moaning like a baby saying its making him feel sick and is making his ear hurt too!!

Anyone got any suggestions?

ah bless him, theres nothing worse than toothache..
my sis just had what you describing your OH has, she had an infection in her abcess under her tooth..(niiiiiice)
i either garggle with neat whisky (holding it on tooth for couple of seconds before spitting)
or salt water..

Go to the chemist and get some clove oil, my hubby has just recently had bad toothache and it's the only thing that worked for him, also give him a mixture of nurofen and paracetamol ( 2 nurofen& 1 paracetamol) and that should see him through to thursday.
Hope he gets better soon xxxxx
P.s) the clove oil is used neat on a cotton wool bud and poked around the area of the bad tooth.

I feel so sorry for your oh

He has probably got an infection hun, can he get some antibiotics before thursday?

and yes nurofen & paracetamol

I had this 2 weeks ago and it took 2 courses of antibiotics to kill the pain and that was with the dr giving me the good drugs for the pain

holding cold water in my mouth really helped and steer clear from anything hot

Clove oil is good, neat whiskey/brandy etc both dabbed on the area, but not together or nurofen and paracetamol, 2 of each taken at 2 hr intervals, so 2 paracetamol then 2 hours later 2 nurofen and so on....

Hope he feels better soon hun, x

Also if he has a regular dentist and they can't see him asap then try your local hospital dental out of hours dept. they can precribe antibiotics where appropriate and carry out emergency inbetween procedures.
