Change of working days

Went to HR and my manager today and asked if I could squeeze 10 days worth of work into 9 days after the babies are born.
Was real surprised to hear them say "sure not a problem."

Anyone else have an understanding (or not so understanding) company?

I think a lot of companies are getting more like this now. Stats have shown that happy workers are less likly to pull sickies and be more productive.

The company my OH works for does loads of stuff like this, for each year you work there you get points, and different ammounts of points will allow you more stuff like half day fridays every week, or extra days holiday a year so the longer you have worked for the company the more you get rewarded. You also get an 'Inspire Day' once a ear where they give you an extra days holiday on the day of your choice and £20 to go out and do something that inspires you!

My place is pretty good, only a small family run business so it's quite flexible.
I've already decided that after Mat leave I'm jiggling my hours so I can have fridays off and only lose a few hours pay, just haven't told them yet
