I'm Currently Feeling: | multimap question .. Ok so this is reeeeeally bugging me and i need someone sane to help me out on this ..
Im going to Yarmouth for the weekend this weekend, going to drive down on Friday evening. So i did a multimap and it says it 109 miles .... then it says that it should take 2 hours and 43 minutes ... WTF?
No way pedro ... 109 miles in over 2 and a half hours? Whats that driving in 3rd gear the whole way there?
An hour and a half tops im thinking!! Bearing in mind Southend is 70 miles from me and i normally do that in under an hour ... hmmm maybe that says something about my driving
That does seem a long time though to do 109 miles right? |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hiya
I always look at motorway driving as a minute a mile (on average, ie 20mile = 20 mins), but over that neck of the woods, it may not all be motorway and so they go off the speed limit of the roads.
I'm with you though, probably won't take you over two hours, but you have precious package - -take it easy on your way!
You can think of it in two ways..it'll all still be there when you get there (such a Mum/Gran thing to say) or ...nothing really starts till "you" get there anyway.
Have a great time in Yarmouth!! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | it does seem abit loooooooooonggg!!
But I always think avery of 60 miles per hour!! So 2 hours you can do 120 mph!!!
But like the others are saying it could be crappy roads!!! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I'm in Essex and we often holiday near cromer on the norfolk coast which isn't a long way from Yarmouth. That does usually take a couple of hours. The roads in Norfolk aren't great, they don't really have any dual cariageways. So if your unlucky enough to get stuck behind a caravan then it will hold you up. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | They also add into that slow traffic due to congestion. As your leaving on a Friday, thats probably why it says it will take so long. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | What's the route like? There might be lots of 30 roads in between motorways. I sue Google maps and it's usually quite accurate. But they will never assume you're doing 80+ if that's how fast you drive! lol
I find that if I'm more town/40 limit driving my journeys usually average 30mph but if it's a longer motorway journey more like 60mph, even when I always drove at 80 on the motorway! |
