| I really really really want to get it done. I probably will after the baby sometime. I can't stand the glasses anymore.
If I lose my glasses I can't find them because I can't see them! I'm blind without them lol! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I had it 4 years ago and haven't looked back since. It's the best thing I've ever had (apart from my boob job!! )
I can't advise you on the monthly cost as I paid in one lump, but I'd advise anyone to do it.
I had wave-something. I can't remember exactly what it was called, I went to Ultralase in Birmingham and they were great. My eyes were terrible before, real bottle bottom glasses, and astigmatism to boot. I got turned down for treatment 7 years ago, then went back when this new treatment came out. It was more expensive for me (£1200 per eye), but worth it in the long run. I used to pay £400 a year for specs, and £22 a month for contacts, so £646 a year. So now I'm in credit as it would have taken me 3.7 years to pay £2400 in contacts and specs.
Definitely look into it hun. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | My uncle had his done and it was the best thing he's ever done, he says. I'm saving up to get mine done soon. Hopefully I won't have to get another set of glasses again. I'm getting new ones in August before the baby comes so I'll still be covered under my father's insurance, but hopefully they will be my last pair |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I had LASIK And it's the best thing ever!!! I don't know how I went without it for so long. I don't know about the UK, but in the US there are two types, LASIK and PRK. In Lasik, they cut your cornea, kind of like creating a flap, which they open and then go to work with the laser, which corrects your vision. With PRK they literally scrub off the top layer (cornea) of your eye and go in with the laser. Once that's done they put in a temporary contact lens, which stays in for about a week while your eye heals. Both are painless because of the numbing drops applied to the eye, but PRK requires a little more recovery time. I definitely recommend it! Best of luck! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | poor you. hope your feeling better.
i wear monthly disposable contact lenses at £19 per month from vision express and they are okay. i would like laser treatment done too but too much of a wimp! i have REALLY bad eyesight....
my brother had laser eye surgery about 8 years ago and his eye sight was even worse than mine. he now has perfect vision. i did book myself in about four years ago and then chickened out - i just worry too much! however, wish i had got it done when i had the money - now i cannot afford it.
cannot advise you on cost but good luck to you!
Christine

I'm Currently Feeling: | I'm the same,I want this done so badly.
I've had glasses since I was 9. I'm now 20! I wear them everyday, 24/7, exept when I go to bed. I do like them because I think I suit them, but I'd love to have Lasik done. It would save me alot of money. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | My friend had it done last year and has had nothing but problems with it. She's had to go back a few times to get it fixed. I really wanted it done but that has put me off. |
