I'm Currently Feeling: | Received a double delivery, what would you do? I'll try and keep this short, but just in case anyone from the company concerned reads this, I'm not mentioning the item or company......
DH bought me a present for Xmas (cost £120), mix-up on the order, went missing, finally delivered 3rd January, got apology letter from company.
Item uses consumables that need replacing every 6 months, but after 8 days, one broke. They replaced it. Then other one broke 2 weeks later, they replaced it. Then both replacements stopped working 3 weeks later, so they sent me a complete new unit. Received this 19th February. Then spent 3 weeks chasing refund of £20 as they'd insisted I sent it back Special Delivery.
All worked fine, for a bit....
30th June, unit started making loud buzzing noise, although still worked. Then 1st July, one of the consumables went again, then 2nd July, the other went.
This time, c/s team leader said she'd arrange a swap for 9am-5pm on Wednesday 9th July. Courier would deliver new unit and take away faulty one. Then on Friday 4th July (I'm at work), courier tried to deliver new unit! Old unit still plugged in and full of water, so said he would call back Saturday 5th 9am-1pm. So, Friday night, I emptied it, washed and dried it ready. Saturday, no courier.
So, team leader apologised and sent me free gift worth £18 (to go with unit) and £20 voucher off next order. I'm happy again.
Wednesday, courier turns up and swaps. Very happy!
Then......
Friday 10th, DH rings me at work to say that another one had been delivered!!!!!!
This is the dilema......... DH took delivery at 12:45 when he is normally at work till 2pm (finished early coz of the weather), I was at work, Kayleigh should have been at school. DH said it was not normal courier, it was someone he'd not seen before. So, naughty DH signed a squiggle and not his normal signature! He sees it as a freebie for all of the hassle, and told me not to say anything to them. He said he can easily deny ever having took delivery, the signature isn't like his, and he should have been at work.
This is such a fab thing (when it works properly) and I'd love to have 2 of them! But, this is really dishonest isn't it?
It's currently boxed up in the downstairs loo.....
Honest opinions please? |
