I just checked my email. Now this is my joint email with hubby.

I received this email from ebay.... Only its not from ebay.... when I click on the link to view the item it claims I did not pay, it takes you to the ebay log in page. Again, not thinking anything of it, I entered my user name and pass word and it did nothing like I entered my pass word wrong. So stupid ass me entered it again... and nothing... So typed in ebay and signed in that way and was able to log in. Then it dawned on me.... STUPID! so I changed my password and sequrity question. Now looking at this email there are so many clues.... A) This isnt my ebay email address B) the email came from displut@eby

So everyone please watch out for any ebay emails. If you want to log in to your account, manually type ebay's address in your bowser and log in that way...... I cought on quickly so Im not worried about fraud, but just wanted to point it out to you!

I never click on links anyway unless I know it's certainly from them..

We get loads of spam ones for Halifax as well and tend to ignore them as we've got our settings set to not send them out so we know its a hoax.

Urgh..I hate these things - I'm glad you realised and changed your password (is your paypal one the same?)

That's actually a pretty good one - they're usually full of spelling mistakes so you know they're not genuine.

Having said that, I received a letter from my bank the other day...there will 2 mistakes in my address (although it was addressed to me!), about 5 in the main letter and it started with 'Dear Mr Roger Whittick...'

My mom had this happen to her before...it was awful! But hers came in the form of having to verify all of her ebay information. Next thing she knows there is stuff she isnt even selling on her ebay and some of the items she was selling was taken off. Luckily she got it all worked out with ebay. Glad you caught it before it got worse!! xo
