Both mine and my OH mum refuse to be called nan, they both insist on being called Grandma!

What does everyone elses mum or dad want to be/ are called by your LO's?

My Mum never wanted to be Granny. She chose Grandma when the first of the 9 in the next generation arrived so I guess we'll be sticking with that! Dunno about MIL, I can't imagine her wanting any of them, but I think she particularly dislikes Nanna. I also have a step-MIL, dunno what we'll call her either!

My mum is only 44 (had me when she was 23) and my OH's mum is older, she is 54. So my mum wants to be called nana as she thinks granny and grandma too old lol. My Dad wants to be called grandad as he think grandpa too old as he only 48.

As for my OH parents. His mum is married again so it will just be granny and dave(as my OH dont call him dad and feels weird at the time being his baba callin him grandad) but maybe later in life baba might call him grandad.
His dad wants to be called gramps lol and his wife will just be suzanna.

Bit confusing on my OH side. lol

My mum wants to be called " Nana " ...She's said it hundred's of times, for when I was going to have a baby I do agree with her though, Grandma does sound old. She's only 40. And obviously my dad will be called Grandad.

My OH's mum wants to be called " Grandma " And he doesn't see his dad so it won't have a Grandad on his side. Poor thing. x

my mum wants to be called granny because she says my nan was nan so she doesnt want to take that and my oh' s mum i think she wants to be called granny aswel!

my mum is grandma but nicole calls her mom-ma. and my oh mum is nanna, she had to be nanna cos she said grandma sounded too old, but then my mum is only 43, 38 when she became a grandma!!!!

My mum is not minding and will prob be Gran
Mums partner prob will be Grandpa
OH mum wont think about it at all
OH dad is not minding really and will prob be the scottish word for grandpa (i forget) cos he's from north of Scotland
My dad will prob be grandpa also
My dads partner will not talk about it ha ha cos i dont think she's even 35 and only starting to think about children but she will be granny if she wont decide

Hannah has 2 Grandmas, a Grandad (my dad) and a Grandpa (OH Dad). They all decided what they wanted to be called and we just went with it!

I forgot about all the guys! My dad will stay as Granddad, my step-FIL will be by name I think. He was a real knob not long ago so not sure he deserves a special name! And my FIL will be given whatever name mocks him most, e.g. Old-Man Fisher (his surname) or similar! lol
