We got someone out for leakage one time, was maybe £50 to check on it but we didn't need new parts. It'll be cheaper if you use someone who is not e.g. Hotpoint or whatever brand you machine is. Try going to your local electrical shop (independent if you have one rather than Comet etc) and ask them for a number. Otherwise it's pot luck with Yellow Pages! Good luck!

(its a whirlpool) They charge £30-40 for callout and £75 for callout plus repair, according to a website listing charges for the big companies.

I expected more but i think ill look for someone local and see what they charge.

Are you able to open the door hun?

Have you checked the outlet pipe at the back isnt blocked/kinked?

have you cleaned the filter out?

Have you tried using a different spin option?

Do all these before spending money, it may be something simple.

Hope you get it sorted hun.

I had to call out plumber this morning cos our boiler had flooded the garage. When OH took top of, there was a mini fountain, and had to have a part replaced. Dreading the bill.

Must be something in the air today.

Ive got a quote for £35 for first hour and £25 for each hour after plus cost of parts. Does that sound any good or keep looking?
