not sure whether ive posted in right but but anyhoo...

my oh has been getting really bad pains in one of his testicles for a few days now and this morning he rang me from work whingin about it and asked me to make him an appt at the docs, which i refused to do. not because i dont care but because why should i!!!

anyway he is now being a complete prick to me because i wont ring them!!!

for f%&ks sake he is nearly 30 and is acting like a baby. ive got to do everything for myself, no one does things for me.

I think I would probably just make him the appointment but why doesn't he just phone them himself?

i normally would of made him the appt but im getting a bit fed up of having to do everything for him. Im not his personal assistant.

i dont know why he wont ring them, if it was something to do with his car he would be straight on the phone, so i dont see why this is any different.

I know it's a pain when they ask ou to do something they are perfectly capable of doing themselves, but have you thought that maybe he is embarrassed to call due to the problem he has. He may find it difficult to call up the docs and tell them why he needs an appointment.

I'd be hard pushed to get my OH to tell the doc never mind tell the receptionist on the phone lol

i thought of that but they never ask whats wrong when you ring.

i feel exactly the same way as you do...he's picked up the phone to ring you, instead he could have phoned the surgery!!!!

however if you translate - this is what he wanted you to hear when he phoned you up ' babe, i'm really scared about that pain i've been getting and i realy want to get it checked out but i'm scared of ringing and going to find out in case it's anything life threatening (or - god forbid- embarressing) be a sweetheart and make an apointment for me..i keep chickening out...' That's how i'd read between the lines with my OH.. I still bollock him though (scuse my language) and try to get him to do it for himself!!!!!!!!!

We don't have the whole story though, maybe he makes you do everything and this is the last straw!

a difficult one for me to say anything on tbh, my DH has a phobia of telephones and he has to bend over backwards to care for me. I'd do anything for him. BUT I do understand where you're coming from, if he could call you, why couldn't he call them.

my mum does that to my dad, and it annoys him aswell because she is capable of doing these things herself

yeah, i pretty much do everything for him. normally i would of done it straight away for him but he's been really nasty to me for the last few days so i didnt see why i should!!
