i loved a new school year when I was allowed to by a new pencil case etc!!! Seriously I cant stress this enough this is part of the reason I want to be a teacher and do my PGCE!!! I love learning with yummy paper!!!
My thing is about organizing too. I always loved new bags (and still do) but with the more pockets the better! When I was at school I loved bags that had stationary sections so I could put in pens and things and organize it all! lol
And I'm with you on the PGCE, I'm doing one and when I started the first thing I did was buy a fancy pad!
but I still enjoy getting a new pen or pad of paper 
this whole thread is bizarre but whats even worse is that I can relate to it so much
