I've got two:

Jess who we guess is a Staffie/lab cross, we got from the RSPCA about 4 years ago now. She was left starving in a yard then spent a year at the kennel because she was afraid of men and everyone wanted her then thought it would be too much hard work - idiots. All she needed was a happy home. I guess she was waiting for me. I chose her on the internet - she's my internet bride! lol She's super clever, learns everything in a flash, best dog in the world! Photo is of her catching snow balls this winter.

And Ebin, a black lab, who is an old old man with the worst arthritis and a fear of everything. We picked him up whilst walking Jess one day. He was in such a state. We were having a party that day so had to take him to the police but left a note saying we'd have him if he was going to go to a shelter. But his owner came for him then phoned us to get us to buy him off her!! She was a vile vile woman. She let him run out all the time and fed him enormous amounts of meat so his poo was like torpedos. His gums were septic and his arthritis untaken care of. She'd bought him from a farmer for £50 from a yellow paper ad thinking what a bargain for a thoroughbred! Then found he was too much trouble so I guess just stopped bothering. For the first 6 months we had to carry him outside to go to the toilet because he was too scared to leave the room he felt safe in; he weed and pooed in the house every day that time and we had to cover the floors in paper before going out. He was terrified if we sneezed, coughed, laughed loudly. Scared of the TV, plastic bags in the street, newspapers in our hand, papers hanging over the side of a table... you get the picture! I've never a dog so bad in my life and we've always had rescue dogs. Needless to say he's much much happier and less scared now. He's such a little cutie! Completely stupid though and he had to learn even how to be a dog from Jess! Photo is of him camping last year, little tail wag!
