didnt know where to put this ??

Im going to my cousins wedding on July 4th but my Dad is away on a cruise on the rhine and asked me if i could write a wee note/poem maybe sayin sorry he cant be there

he wants some nice words maybe funny?? But i havent got a clue think my baby brain is on overdrive and blocking all my thoughts the girl gettin married is my Mum's (who died few yrs ago) sisters daughter and my Dad wants to write something meaningful in his appology for not bein there

has anyone any ideas where I could get such a thing or is anyone good at writing these kinda things and could help me out ??

but I'm sailing on the Rhine,

hope you have a happy day,

and eat and drink some wine,

I know it wont be the same,

without my cheery face,

but yous will have to manage,

cause I'm in this lovely place.

Now dont get drunk and cause a mess

like some of yous are known to do

have a happy wedding day & life

and a great long and happy marriage too.!

But I'm here on this cruise
So now I'm missing the festivities
The food, dancing and booze

I'll miss you saying your wedding vows
The bridesmaids and best man
I'll miss the first dance and speeches
And hearing the telegrams

The thing I'm missing most of course
Is being there with you
But I wish you all a happy day
A happy and healthy life too
