Bit pissed at the nurse!

I took my son for an injection yesterday afternoon. And the nurse just kinda jabbed it in really hard and my son was in agony!!!!! He has never cried at injections before as the nurses we have seen before havent done it so forcefully. Nice bloody bruise on his leg today.....is this what some nurses do or did she do it completely wrong??????

Bit bloody pissed off tbh!

Bless him, i would feel the same if i was you.I wouldnt have thought she should have been so hard. Some nurses have no bed side manner. Children hate needles and it doesnt sound like she made any effort to be gentle at all. Make sure you dont have to see her again xxx

Big hug for your little guy

when we did injection giving in uni we were told that that faster and sharper you give the jab, the less pain it causes.
In all honesty though, through practice, I havent found this. It hurts which ever way I give it and it feels brutal to me to literaly stab someone.

Ebonii's last lot of jabs didnt go well either ( the one where they get 3 )the leg she had 2 in wouldnt stop bleeding for ages and she was VERY upset and had huge (to her wee leg) bruise, the nurse doing it couldnt get us out the room quick enough and wasnt taking due care , she only done it as my HV was off ill. I was raging so went and complained about the nurse to my doc they just said it was unfortunate and that Ebonii mustve moved as it was being done twats!!!!!!!!!!

Hope hes ok tho Elli
