What is wrong with people For gods sake!

Im so so fed up of absolute idiots everywhere that seems to think they have every right to glare and tut at me when my 2 and a half year old starts to cry ( when she is overtierd she starts crying im sure those who have toddlers know what i mean)

One women in particular decided to look me up and down and shake her head, i was in waitrose doing a shop and i had to drag carly around sobbing for awhile around town so i was getting very irritated by this point plus ella is teething so throughout the day i had them both crying, anyway back to the point when i finally got to waitrose and that women did that i was FED UP and just wanted to go home then she did that.

So out of no where my mouth just yelled * Who the hell do you think you are looking at me like that, i supose your children never cried when they were tierd, never did anything wrong they were just bloody saints were they*

The whole shop looked at me. I dont usually say anything i just keep my head up and ignore whoever decides to glare but today i just snapped.
Safely say i went home empty handed, i think ill shop somewhere else for awhile lol

know exactly what you mean! I have a 22 month old who is rather partial to a tantrum when she is tired. People forget about their childrens behaviour when they are older.

Well done you! I'd have offered up some sarcastic comment or other. Stupid ignorant people who think they are better than everyone else...

Good for you hun! I have been tempted to say something sooooo many times when people have looked at me like that! Usually when Ds is having a tantrum in the middle of an aisle!
Even had one woman try and tell me how to discapline him! I was like wtf! Bog off!
Im guessing there kids never got to express their feelings/emotions and are prob very dull indeed!

Sometimes when food shopping kierans has got tantrums he'll throw himdelf on the floor- i usually don't react and just stand next to him til he decides to get himself (which usually isn't that long) up. People stare and i feel like i have to explainin myself!! arghh x

When I was little if I behaved like that (had a tantrum) in a public place my parents would immediately leave the store. They would take me home and we (my sister and I) would miss out on whatever we were going to be doing that day. Made us act up less in public, and people wouldn't have to listen to us having a tantrum in a public store. I know it sucks that they would have to finish whatever they were shopping for another time, but I myself would probably do the same thing.

I know I don't actually have kids yet, but when I hear a child screaming and yelling in a store and the parent just lets them do it, I do get annoyed. Of course, that is probably because I don't have kids yet lol! But it could be just the way I was raised, that behaviour like that is just not accepatble in public.

i find it amazing how intolerant some people are of children. the other day i was on the bus and a girl with a buggy wanted to get on: the bus driver told her to fold up her buggy as there wasn't enough space. So the poor girl did as she was told, but it took her awhile as she was alone - the amount of tutting and angry looks from the passengers were shocking - i mean, she was going as fast as she could. Really felt for her.

Good on you for giving it to her!
