I'm Currently Feeling: | Dont even get me started on women having babies for the money!! I dont know how women can be so fickle with a little person that they've created??!! My baby will be the most important thing in my life when it's born, well it already is now!! Some women are like factories, popping babies out for a profit. Makes me sick |

I'm Currently Feeling: | i so agree with this thread. i am 33 having my first baby - been married almost nine years. we just decided to wait. i know one lady who has five kids and another with six. they are the same age as me. they are shocked by my 'behaviour' (being an older mum) as they think i am selfish (eh?) by wanting just two children. they reckon i should have masses like them. needless to say neither works, just sit at home all day.......

X | Have you a problem with people having lots of children or only the ones making cash out of it because I have 5 and might I add they all have the same father and me and my husband have been together for nearly 20 years, I'm 35. I dont work either but my husband does and we never have relied on any money from the state either.
I agree that women who have babies to collect fat cheques are disgusting but I think you need to be clear whether you meant all women who have large families and dont work because to be honest I'm very offended by your comments. |

I have a problem with women who have (example) have 6 kids to 6 different dads and only for the money.

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hmmmm..... I have a friend who is 29 and on her 5th child, I'm not sure if her reasons for having so many is for the money but it does anger me that she has never worked a day in her life, (she had her 1st at 16) her partner does work but only 20 hours a week and then their money gets topped up by a ridiculous amount of tax credits while myself and my partner have always worked fulltime and we are so much worse off than them,
This tax credits thing in the UK is a good thing for some but they really need to review it as some people are really taking the pi** out of it.
The way it feels is you should have as many children as you can, work very little hours and the government will sort your money worries
Sorry, rant over |

Sorry, rant over | Ooohhh...do not get me started!!! I so agree with you. There is a woman next door to me who is 21 with a 2 year old and she is due this month with her second child. She is in a council flat (2 bedroom) and claims she is a single parent. The father, who works, of both children stays there 3 days a week and lives somewhere else so she can get all the benefits. Last month she bought a 40" screen TV, new computer, had Sky and internet installed and bought a load of new stuff for the children. The travel system for her son is a lot more expensive than what we can afford.
Yet, my OH and I work full time, own a 1 bedroom flat and cannot get a larger place because we cannot afford it. We cannot afford the things our non-working neighbour gets. Plus, I am 18 years older, pregnant and was working until I took my leave. I checked with how much tax credits we would get and it is something like £30 a month!! And no council tax benefit, no nothing. And to make things worse, our son will receive £250 voucher to invest while she will get £500 because she is "poor".
It does seem the government awards people who take proverbial P.
Sorry, but could not help it...had to rant about this. | | | | Status: Offline

I hope I didn't offend you hunny. | not at all hunny and I totally agreed with your thread. It was the post where the girl didnt make it clear whether she was referring to bigger families in general and those mums that dont work, which is abit ludicrous to say that a mum for example with 5 kids or more or 1 child for that matter; who doesnt work is somehow of a lower class to someone who does
I would invite anyone to come to my home and say I dont work just because I dont have a 'paying' job, my husband wouldnt say it and I dont expect anyone else to!
Sorry for the rant there but I'm not the 'bottle it all up' kinda gal
and carley it was definitely not your post that annoyed me or offended me because I do agree that that was awful. |
