I'm Currently Feeling: | Before getting pregnant with Erica, I worked as a personal banker for Wells Fargo Bank. (Its the second largest bank in the US, primarily on the west coast). I did everything from open new accounts/business accounts, to auto loans, and second mortgages. I refused to touch first mortgages, too much for me. I was training for investment services, and was in the process of getting licensed. I was going for my series 7 and 66. Then I was either going to strictly work with investment and private banking clients (Only people with over a million in liquid assets at our bank), or go into management at the bank. I started just as a teller while going to college, and did really well and got promoted 3 times in 2 years.
I was going to school majoring in business. I quit when I found out I was pregnant, since I thought working full time would be hard enough, then I got written off work. I'm going back to school in the fall, but am taking only online classes for now. I'm a proud SAHM! I was very proud of my blossoming career before I got pregnant tho, I still miss it sometimes when I stop by my old work to say hello. But being with Erica is better than any other job I could have.
Sounds like we have a very diverse group here! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I ran a livery/competition yard for quite some time after my degree, I've been teaching free-lance for years. Due to ill health I gave it up and kept the horses as a hobby (plus some teaching) and now work in customer services making sure the logistics side of the company runs smoothly - sat a desk and very bored!
I miss the yards and being outdoors but hopefully I'll have my own place in the not to distant future.
DF is an IT security consultant (geek) with a degree, masters and not quite complete Phd from Oxford (please god let the kids have his brains!) He's just finished his MCSE, CISSP and CISA .. and Prince2 .. if he's not teaching himself something he's not happy! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Got a BA Hons in European Studies with German, not that it has got me very far!!
When I moved over here I worked in the customer services dept for a collectables company. Absolutely hated it, but stuck it out for 18months until I found something else.
Now work as a flight attendant for Lufthansa doing domestic and short haul flights. Love the job, the variety, diff people all the time and the travel aspect. Not been able to do it since falling pregnant and was grounded and had to work in the offices in our cargo dept - hated it. Now on Maternity leave, planning on being a SAHM for a year and then will gradually take to the skies again part time. | | | | Status: Offline
