iv been quite good only got an argos card with a Wii on it which im gonna pay when we have the money from the house.

Im stuck in my overdraft at the moment though becuase work didnt pay me my holiday pay its messed me up and I hate beig in my overdraft. Iv just sat and worked out all my incomings and outgoings for the month and to stay out my overdraft this month I can literally buy petrol and food and on a budget too! we move in about 4 weeks anyway so money from the house will sort us out . Will hopefully get the maternity grant too for my pram!

So please dont tempt me and hide me from any shopping links lol xxxxxx

we have an argos card that we buy all the xmas toys and stuff with, we only use it in november and you have 9 months to pay it off and we're paying it next month with a tax rebate; we do the same every year as we know the rebate is coming. Its interest free so I always pay it within the time limit.

I have a next account too with a £300 limit which I havent used for a few years but its nice to have in case you're ever stuck sometime. I have catalogues with the same limit but I never use them.

I'm forever bombarded in shops about this card and that card but I never apply for them as the interest is horrendous.

we just have our mortgage payment & no loans and both our cars are finance free they're both finally paid off and we're keeping them for the duration.

we have 2 £1500 overdrafts in 2 accounts but thankfully we're in the black and havent needed them.

We also have a £6500 credit card limit that we have never ever used and really have no intention of ever using but maybe when we win the lotto we'll need it

and thats it, fairly debt free and yes we've also learned from mistakes too. I am so much happier than I was when I was waiting for the postman to deliver yet an another bill.

Honestly we did let our credit cards get bad right after we first got married, with the wedding, and I wasn't working it was easy to use credit. We've since stopped though and are both so much happier and more stress free. We had THREE credit cards to pay off (two of them totaling almost $5000 apiece). We've since paid off 2 of the cards, and are making headway on the third. Yes we still have credit cards and we still use them, but only when absolutely necessary (like plane tickets that have to be paid with a card). If we ever use them for anything else (take out and what not) we go online and pay the order immediately. If we don't have the cash in our account, we don't use the card!

It really has made an impact on our lives, we're both much happier now, more secure in our future, and don't argue about money, etc. We still go out and do quite a lot, and we buy what we want, so we aren't depriving ourselves, yes it means our credit won't be paid off as quickly, but I feel that if we do deprive ourselves completely and put all of our disposable income on the cards that we'll just end up using the cards again.....it's a vicious cycle really.

Edit: We also both have student loans that we are paying off.......but I don't really factor those into our debt as

We bought a little very month and it has really helped ease the last minute crunch. We still have things to buy but it won't hit our wallet to badly. Personally for me I know we wouldn't be able to save the money, we'd say oh we can do this and use x money we've set aside and will replace it........and it wouldn't get replaced

lol, I felt the same reading those replies. Sometimes it feels as if you're the only with with some money issues. I say issues because we're not really badly in the shit, but I feel uncomfortable oweing money.

I bought yet more stuff from River Island the other day, but we have our holiday coming up, it was stuff that I needed for that so that was my final treat. No more spending now as we have decided as soon as we've finished paying our CC's etc off, we are looking for a place to rent privately, so thats good and will make us motivated. I think im going to cut up my River Island card too, and maybe close my other credit card when i've paid the balance (the balance is quite low). Then I will reduce my limit on my main CC and be a good girl, keeping any money I owe in the same place - luckily there is no interest until November as well!
