I'm Currently Feeling: | cheeky reply needed please? I need a cheeky reply for hen some divvy decides it's their God given right to ask me how/why I'm disabled....

It happens loads every summer especially and it drives me nuts! I'm usually polite and tell them I have nerve damage but when it's the first and only thing that people talk to you about....well ... |

Like "why you so ugly?" lol
Im sorry that im not much help, im a blunt person!! but i think its highly rude for people to come and ask you such a personal question and to be honest if someone came and asked me a personal question id tell them to "f**k off" | | | | Status: Offline

you could say your not disabled, you do it for fun cos you love being looked down on, ignored, hit by other peoples bags, stared at by kids, sitting outside shops you cant get into, shouting at people to move, driving around for ages trying to get a parking space oh and lets not forget answering stupid pointless and personal questions |

I'm Currently Feeling: | When asked: How long you been in the wheelchair? reply: "Since 9AM"
When asked: Why are you in the wheelchair? reply: because I was a nosy sod in a previous life
When asked: No, seriously why? Reply: I asked someone in a wheelchair what was wrong with them....
If people ask me I'm normally rude and blunt with: it's none of your business. End of. I wonder how tasha puts up with me! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I'm taking on board these suggestions as well! My mum gets EXACTLY the same response from the public when she's in her wheelchair, or struggling to walk with a stick (she has M.S) What's wrong with people? The 'best' is when I'm with her and shop assistants talk over her and talk to me instead, as if she's not there!!! Grrrrr.... what's wrong with some people? There seems only to be 2 responses..... patronising or getting ignored!
GGGGGGrrrrrrrrrrr |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Ahhh - if someone talks to tasha over me about what I want, she'll turn to me in front of them and ask me. If someone kneels to talk to me, i'll thank them for getting down to a face to face level but ask if they'd mind standing. there's fine lines to walk... thankfully, most decent people with an ounce of common sense know how to walk it. |
