MrBum's not kidding either. You should see some people's faces when he comes back with "since 9am" when asked how long he's been in the chair... What I can't believe is that people don't take the hint on that one and drop it - people always, always pursue with "hahaha... no, really"

What is wrong with some people?!

edit: Omg! MrBum and me, sychronised posting!

I like that - think I'll have to test it out

The ones asking if I have sex I'm quite apt with cheeky replies and stuff.

LOL maybe I should say "coz someone asked me why I was on crutches....mind you, they came off worse"

Having on of those "grrrr stop having a go at me for being a crip!!!" days lol - where everyone thinks they have the right to ask personal questions or ignore me or be a numpty...

Freya, when I get ignored and hubby is with me, he walks away for a couple of seconds to prove a point - or blatently asks "what are you telling me for?" usually goes down a treat

yep, it's bloody annoying. I mean, seriously, what is it? Why do they have the need to being such nosey people - would they ask any random person? Or just crips? numpties.

Sometimes I really do wonder if I should get one of those tshirts with "£20 for my disability story" written on - mind you I don't think some of the dozey ****enter expetive!****s would get the hint!

You know, no one has ever done that to me....though I have to admit that if people want to talk for a while I'd rather be somewhere that we can all sit arund and preferably have a drink like a voddie and coke! (seriously - but I was like that before I needed me mariokart)

Nope, just crips - and pregnant women! Used to get ALL sorts of personal questions when I was up the duff!

What also surprises me, is how people think they have a right to come over and talk to you because you have a baby, and then they think it's perfectly fine to go ahead and touch(!) our baby!! Some weirdos just don't get the concept of privacy, and minding their own business...

TBH I doubt that many people who would ask you those sorts of questions would take the hint, either - They manage to miss the hint of "Since 9am (I.E. I'M NOT TELLING YOU HOW LONG I'VE BEEN IN A WHEELCHAIR!)"

*sigh* I sadly think we just have to accept that there are nosy people in this world - that's never gonna change. Maybe, though, if we stop just answering their questions, and then getting annoyed about it afterwards, we shot back a quick and assertive "mind your own business!", more people would catch on that it's not the best idea to go asking random strangers all sorts of personal questions!

Sorry you're not having too good of a day, Mynxie.

If it's just politeness and common sense - like you're stood in the way and obviously in the way, and move - it's just common courtesy huni - but I think you'd do that for anyone xx
