Marriage doesn't keep you together if you aren't supposed to be. My mam and dad got married when they found out they were pregnant with me and ended up seperating when I was about 6 months old.

We are planning on getting married, but not because of Seth. We got engaged nearly 2 years ago.

Marrying because of a baby isn't right IMO. But when I got pregnant I did get a few lectures from some relatives saying I should get married.

Unfortunately, the mindset way back when was that if you got pregnant, you have to marry. The sad thing is, I wonder how many of those marriages lasted. I know my mom's didn't.

Dan and I have been together for 10 years now and we are not married. We planned to have children about 2 years into our relationship. We are happy and there is no "I can leave because I want to" attitude. Mind you though, without the vows it's a bit easier to leave - but isn't it the attitude with some marriages nowadays anyhow?

Some get into marriages with the thought that if it doesn't go as planned, a divorce is easy to do.
