nursery 22 / 23 degrees

is it too hot?

It seems pretty constant at 22 or 23 and I worry LO will overheat?

I'm planning on swaddling him but have some big muslins for this instead of a blanket so hopefully they should be "breathable" for his skin.

The nursery is at the top of the house and the heat just seems to waft up there, and even keeping the blinds shut doesnt seem to make it much cooler. I'll maybe try a new reflective blind and see if that works, but do you think 22 or 23 degrees in summer is too warm?

Our nursery tends to be around the same hun and we put the fan on in there and use a cool blanket on Jasmine so she stays warm but doesn't overheat

can you not? I was going to put one in the room but maybe not face it right at baby - just to encourage a bit of air exchange if I open the window.

I guess babies in hotter countries manage somehow..

I was worried when our room was 24 degrees when it was hot here (was that our summer a few weeks ago uk people?! Feel like I've missed it!) - just used a light blanket. I googled everything I could find about temperatures and all I could find was a load of advice about how you must keep it between 15 and 19 degrees...not much use!

They lose excess heat from their heads so should be ok as long as they're not wrapped up too much and their head is exposed. You can feel their tummy, back or back of the neck to see if they're too hot or sweaty
