The OH Appreciation Thread

i love my OH as we have been throught the thick of it together and he has stuck by me through it all i love him as he has open a saving account together so we can save for a house together so we can be settled in when we ttc for a child i love him x

i love my pub-going, poor time keeping, and often stressy OH because....

He cooks every night..
He ALWAYS does the washing up
He still shows that he finds me attractive even though I look like a whale
He makes me laugh..... often at him lol..
He talks in his sleep (gosh theres some stories there)
He is just generally a big snuggle bunny

I love my DH because.

*He cooks breakfast every morning that he's off work for me
*He never complains if I don't find the time to do the dishes
*He will always flick the TV to what I want to watch
*He will always take the blame in an argument because he hates to fight with me
*He is still with me, even though we've been trying for years to have a baby - and I know how bad he wants one.
*When I start to diet he tells me I'm beautiful just the way I am
*He calls me on every lunch break at work just to say hello
*When in Iraq, he would call me daily just to hear my voice
*He loves my family
*He loves me

I was so depressed and tearful last night my OH kept hugging me, normally if im fed up i just want to be left alone, but last night it was nice, so much so i fell asleep, bless him.

Even brought me coffee up this morning before he went to work.

I thought it only fair I come on here and appreciate my OH seeing as I "bitched" about him on the other thread....

so here goes....

1. He says he doesnt care when i stay in with no makeup and dont even bother to brush my hair....he still thinks im gorgeous!

2. He has cooked every meal for the past 2 months and hasnt complained once!

3. He is the only person i have been with where i havent had to compromise who i am.

4. He is the only boyfriend i have had that all my family love!

5. He always comes and scrubs my back when I have a bath!

6. He cleans up without me having to tell him!

7. He randomly sends me sweet text messages that make me go all gooey.

8. He is sexy as hell and always smells nice!

9. We like similar things such as lounging on the sofa on a sunday afternnon watching crap tv!

10. He is a great dad to his other two kids and im sure he will be a great dad to our child too!!

11. he also makes the best tea there is!! and only uses ONE teabag for the both of us....i dont know how he does it!!!

My OH is fantastic. He was a bit wild and I worried he would find me boring compared with some of the others he was with before me (fetish model, another model). However, he told me he does not miss his old life one bit and has always wanted to be settled down with a family.

So, what does he do?

1) Does laundry and housecleaning without being asked to do it.
2) Cleans out the rabbit cages on a daily basis since he does not want me near anything dirty.
3) Refuses to even allow me to scrub the toilet since he is worried I will get an infection.
4) Tells me daily how much he loves me.
5) Always sleeps close to me and loves to hold me.
6) Is the best lover I ever had.
7) Makes me laugh.
Does almost all the gardening work including cleaning up doggy poo.
9) When he's had women come on to him, made it clear he was devoted to me. Even detailed to one what he was getting me for Valentine's Day.
10) Respects me and my opinions.
11) Loves my ballsy attitude and does not find it embarrassing.
12) Has a good sense of humour.
13) Loves to shop.
14) Takes an active interest in the pregnancy and baby. He subscribes to Emma's diary and reads books on pregnancy and parenting.
15) Puts up with a lot of hell from me.

I feel really blessed to have him.

I'm reading all your replies and my OH doesn't seem to be anything like yours!

*My other half doesn't tell me he loves me everyday
*He doesn't do spontaneous things like send me flowers or whisk me off to places
*He doesn't cook the meals every day
* He doesn't do the housework everyday
*He doesn't snuggle to me in bed
*He doesn't tell i'm beautiful everyday

Now you're all probably thinking "what an ass"!! But he's not an ass at all!! Terry is a very complex character and he's so hell-bent on providing the best life for his child. But he's so frustrated that he cant do that at the moment as we are having huge money troubles. Put it this way, we were paid on friday and now we have nothing. i know we're not the only ones in this boat but he is soooo upset that he cant afford to take me out or buy things for the baby, he gets very depressed about it.

But thats why i love him.
*he always runs around for other people
*i KNOW he loves me
*i KNOW he thinks i'm beautiful
*i KNOW he'd send me flowers and take me out if he had the money
*i KNOW he'd give me the world if he could
*he cuddles me and i lose myself
*he's my best friend
*he can cry infront of me and talk about his troubles and fears

But i dont want for anything. i never ask for anything from him but he insists on trying to give me the best life possible.

I love him to the ends of this earth and always will. He has given me the best thing in the world, our baby. Even if we weren't together, i wouldn't want another man. He's my world.

I was just sorting through some things and came across an email off my OH that I'd printed off which he sent me like, last year. Picture me cross legged on the landing floor sobbing my heart out with big fat tears dripping onto the carpet! It was so lovely. Plus, y'know, hormones and everything lol

Hmmm... My OH doesn't tell me he loves me everyday or that I am beautiful everyday but...

-When he does, it is so genuine I really believe it.
-He scratches my back at night even when he doesn't feel like it.
-He hauls my butt up when I am sitting on the floor.
-He 100% takes care of me, getting me food, juice or whatever I need (even before I was pg).
-He listens to me complain about being tired all the time.
-He doesn't complain about the lack of sex (much).
-He makes me laugh all the time.

We live far apart at the moment, so I cry everytime I have to leave him.
