Today I was driving down the road and the transmission in my 2000 Ford Explorer decided to go on me, so here I am all big and pregnant, and nobody stopped to help me and I was stuck in the middle of the busiest road in my town, people were driving by starting at me and honking... I nearly broke down and lost it. And to make matters worse I didn't have a cell phone with me, so had to run to the nearest open store (it was 10:30pm)... I only just bought this SUV at the end of October. I am sooo frustrated and stressed out... here I was all worried about having a baby very soon, and not having everything I need yet, and also not being able to afford it, and now I am gonna have to pay anywhere from $1500-$3000 to get it fixed in a shop and I am not gonna have a vehicle for 2 weeks or so DAMN IT!!!!!!

People just drove by and did not stop to see if you needed help? *shakes head* That is a lot of money to dish out. I wish you all the best and hope things get sorted out.

I cant believe no one stopped to help...i always stop when the driver is on their own and is female just to see if they need to use my mobile phone. Some people make me mad!

People can be so rude. I am sorry about all that is happening hon!

I remember many years ago my friend's car broke down on a busy street at around 10 a.m. on a Sunday. No one would help. Even a cop came and stopped and asked what was happening. We told him and he then just drove off. I was astounded.

I am feeling a bit better this morning... though it still sucks big time!! But my Grandpa is a racecar driver and one of his sponsors is a transmission shop, and they sort of owe him for all the advertising they get. Soooo he took my car on his flat deck truck (didn't have to pay for a tow) down there today and they are gonna see what they can do... we are still gonna be paying alot, but at least we will save some money, and I should be getting a courtesy car as soon as one comes back in. Hopefully soon, I think I might go crazy without one, cause I have alot to do before baby comes, and they are really busy down there and wont even be able to look at it for another week!!

i cant believe nobody stopped to help you!! a friend of mine broke down with her 5 yr old, 3yr old and 6wk old in the car and not one person stopped to help she had to push her own flippin car ....... drives me mad. if i see someone struggling i always make carl stop and help lol
