I'm Currently Feeling:

I got gel ones for my wedding, I hear that they're better than acrylic (but that could just be a personal thing, dunno) anyway, they looked great. I got them done quite short as I'm not that keen on long nails. They're very hardwearing (survived all the stupid things I do) and you can't bite them. They do make your nails a bit pants afterwards (just had mine taken off as trying to save money and it's waaay more expensive here than in UK), but you only notice it for about a week. Maybe if you have fake nails on for a while and you can't physically bite them it will help break your habit of biting them and once you take them off you won't anymore.. if that makes sense?!

im bad for bitin mine too that yukky tasting stuff you paint on made me do it more as well

i had false nails once for my sisters wedding i couldnt do anything with them, i chewed them and it ended up snapping personally i think they were too long, me and long nails are just a no no.

id like longer nails but not monsters so myt try the fake nails again and get them smaller see if that works

anyhoo hope you solve your problem i know how hard it is

I've been thinking about this a bit more and i would certainley go for Calgel over acrylic.
Calgel is more flexible and acrylic can snap or chip and also if you bang your nails it hurts like buggery!!!
