Well, its official, my first ever christmas cake is done and iced I'm so happy with it. No decorations though, because MIL never used to bake and i couldn't find any in the shops today

Its a date and nut cake because none of us are too found of fruit cake. Here it is:

haha, kx. don't think it would get there quick enough. Recipe says it only lasts a week.

Icing wasn't thick enough though and it started to run. Phoned up my mum and she said to put it in the fridge. Hope its set better now ^_^

No one's had any yet. We were stuffed after dinner and now i'm at my parents. Will try some on wednesday. Maybe the icing will have set by then
